Ovation Images Wedding Tip #85:

Have someone drive the route during the week before your wedding to look for traffic delays so those can be factored into your schedule and alternate routes planned. Be alert to the fact that roads and bridges that may be open on weekdays might be closed for road work on Saturdays.  At Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers, we take no chances; we always drive the entire route before your wedding.

At Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers, we love a good party!! If you want to make sure that you can keep your party going follow these simple tips:
  • Many venues have a limit on how late they can stay open due to city ordinances. If you have a late-afternoon wedding and are planning a late reception, make sure you know when it has to end.
  • Likewise, talk with your vendors in advance to see how much it would cost to extend the time they are providing services. Knowing the cost in advance will make the decision simpler. Also ask if you can extend one hour at a time in case you need more than one extension!

Ovation Images Wedding Tip # 53:

When the ceremony is over, and you face your family and friends just prior to walking out of the church, stop and smile for your guests, let your maid of honor hand you your bouquet and position your train so it is not in the way. Don’t rush. Take a breath here. Spontaneous applause will often follow! It also makes for great wedding photos!

Ovation Images Wedding Tip #14:

Steal at least five minutes away from the crowd to be alone before the end of the night! Have a moment to just take each other in and laugh about all the things you wanted to say to one another but couldn’t because everyone was around!
