Rachel and Chris had an awesome summer wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe in Pittsburgh! They had a romantic theme that carried throughout the whole day from the beautiful draping and crystals at the ceremony to the luxe cake and glistening decor. They even had beautifully colored peacock feathers sprinkled throughout- from the flowers and jewelry to grooms boutonniere. However, despite the seductive romantic feel their guests sure knew how to party! Overall, it was a beautiful day filled with fantastic people, and we would like to wish both Chris and Rachel a lifetime of happiness. Thank you both so much for allowing Ovation Images to be a part of your wonderful wedding!

On your wedding day you want beautiful wedding photography. So follow these tips from Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer, for flawless photography on wedding day..

• Ask your photographer if s/he is aware of any restrictions on photography at any of your selected locations. Some “public” places have severe photography restrictions, such as Phipps Conservatory (even in their outdoor gardens)
• Photography on private property is not recommended. With a limo full of people, going to the business park waterfall is just not a great idea. An encounter with the police could make an embarrassing mess of your whole day, to say nothing of the pictures you will miss.

We were honored to be a part of John and Gina’s big day! It was a beautiful day right down to the last detail and we made sure to capture every moment!

Mom cried. But Grandma has apparently seen it all before...

Maegan and Kyle had a beautiful wedding day with friends and family who made it all the best FUN! The church is Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin and the banquest hall is one of our local Pittsburgh favorites–Stratigos Banquet Centre right next door in North Huntingdon (great food, marvelous atmosphere and very photogenic).

Amanda and Dave had a stunning September day for their wedding. The church is Westminster Presbyterian next to Upper St. Clair High School. For pictures in between the ceremony and reception we stopped at a secret Ovation South Side locale. Can you identify it? Their reception (only in the last image in the video below) was at the IBEW Circuit Center. Additional images were contributed by Ovation Photographer Bob Ketcham and lighting assistant Julio Merz.

Julie and Tim had a beautiful wedding day at their family church and the Wendell Inn, with a fun stop in Oakland near Schenley Park and Frick Park for some amazing wedding day images! They were game for anything we could dream up–and we can dream BIG! Julie’s dress is from David’s Bridal and it photographed wonderfully well, as all the David’s dresses seem to do. Catering at Wendell Inn is by Chez Anthony, who always remembers to keep the coffee hot all night long! This is greatly appreciated by tired photographers.

Ever hear of the big town of Cabot, PA? Me neither–at least until last Saturday. Autumn and Drew had an absolutely stunning Western Pennsylvania setting for a beautiful wedding day. We saw some rain. But we were having too much fun to pay attention! Take a look:
