Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer, Wedding Tip #71:

Ask your parents and bridal party not to video tape during the ceremony and reception. Otherwise the only pictures you will have of them will be ones where they are holding a video camera in front of their face! And you wouldn’t want to miss a great wedding day moment like this…

We have a list of great vendors, know all the small tips for a smooth wedding day, and above all will capture your day flawlessly! But thats not the only hand you need to hold…

Ovation Tip #44: Hold Hands… a lot! A lot of brides and grooms get caught up in talking to their guests at the reception. This can lead to the couple getting separated and spending most of the night apart. Then, you have two completely different memories of your reception. This is the first day of the rest of your life-  Holding hands will ensure you stay close and start creating memories together!

On your wedding day you want beautiful wedding photography. So follow these tips from Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer, for flawless photography on wedding day..

  • Ask your photographer if s/he is aware of any restrictions on photography at any of your selected locations. Some “public” places have severe photography restrictions, such as Phipps Conservatory (even in their outdoor gardens)
  • Photography on private property is not recommended. With a limo full of people, going to the business park waterfall is just not a great idea. An encounter with the police could make an embarrassing mess of your whole day, to say nothing of the pictures you will miss.

Follow these Ovation Images make up tips to look flawless like this Pittsburgh Bride!

  • Keep your lips moisturized and colored throughout the day. A bridesmaid should be carrying your lipstick and you should touch up often. Either matte or gloss lipstick is fine. You can also use blended lip liner for enhanced definition.
  • Remember to apply foundation and powder as appropriate to your neck, shoulders and exposed skin above your bust line. Otherwise, your face might have a distinctly different look from the rest of you!

At Ovation Images, we can make a great reception guest book using your engagement photos. But consider doing more than just a guest book: Have a few small books with questions on them and let the guest answer the questions, like “What is your best piece of marriage advice?” “Where is a great place to go on a date? (we want to keep our date nights fresh and exciting!) “What surprised you the most about married life?”, and so on.
