  • When choosing your wedding date remember to consider likely weather conditions, and choose a date that you and your fiancé are comfortable with.
  • Have some fun online, and create a wedding website! Include information such as how you both met, your proposal story, engagement pictures, pictures and info about your bridal party and families, and any helpful information about the wedding registry, the shower, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, or reception.  The following are some great places you can use to create a website: www.wedsite.com, www.weddingwire.com/wedding-websites.html, and www.weddingjojo.com.  You can let your guests know about your site on your save the date cards and by linking the site to your facebook page.

Planning a wedding takes a lot of work! You and your fiance will need to work together and stay organized to make the process go smoothly and your wedding day flawless. Just in case you need a little bit of extra help, here are some of Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers, best wedding planning tips:

  • Stay organized. Create a binder or album where you can keep your accumulation of information, pictures and inspiration. This will help you avoid the feeling of being overwhelmed. It will also become a cherished keepsake!
  • Do all of your planning as early as possible. Otherwise, it piles up and becomes work. Early planning also gives you some time to work out budget issues.
  • Don’t make wedding planning into work. Do what you can when it is fun and then take a break from it. Go out on the town with the girls. Take your fiancé to a place he loves– maybe it’s a sports event, a favorite restaurant, or even just home with a good movie and good cuddling

At Ovation Images, we can make a great reception guest book using your engagement photos. But consider doing more than just a guest book: Have a few small books with questions on them and let the guest answer the questions, like “What is your best piece of marriage advice?” “Where is a great place to go on a date? (we want to keep our date nights fresh and exciting!) “What surprised you the most about married life?”, and so on.

Today, as I was playing around on Facebook, I saw a post in my news feed that read ” If you like it then you should put a ring on it. Yes, and that’s what I did. :)” My initial reaction was “YAY!”, i was excited to see that my friend has proposed to his girlfriend. Then the very next thing I thought was, “What a cool way to tell everyone!” I  thought the play on Beyonce’s song was fun and creative. What could have made it even better you ask?? Photos! Pictures are worth a thousand words after all! So let Ovation Images, Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers, help you announce your engagement. Every wedding photography package included an engagement shoot, so why not use your photos on an engagement announcement or a save the date card?
